This is a modern building in a prominent position in St. Stephens Green, Dublin. It's core design is a glass curtian wall facade, which can lead to heating and cooling issues.
Renaissance Engineering designed the heating and cooling to make maximum use of the free ventilation offered by the system. However, solar gain can be an issue in summer and the cooling loads had to be calculated to allow for this. The curtain walling additionally allowed for the maximum use of natural daylight, so the designed ligting reflected this.
